Training

To ensure successful cooperation with clients and merchants, the subsidiary of First Data International in Latvia carries out training of the staff of banks, casinos, car rental companies, hotel administrators and merchants.

The training course programme "Payment card acquiring” is approved by the Payment Cards Committee of the Association of Latvian Commercial Banks. The objective of the training course is to acquaint the participants with and inform on:

• card security features and verification thereof;
• the sequence of transaction processing and the essence of the authorisation process;
• basic principles of the use of POS terminals and problem situations;
• the specifics to be taken into account when performing transactions with chip cards.
• how to act in non-standard cases and problem situations.

When they pass a test, participants of the training will receive a certificate that certifies that the employee is familiar with the rules of payment card acquiring and servicing. Management of companies value higher and higher the advantages of a certified employee and use actively the training programme offered by the subsidiary of First Data International in Latvia.

The subsidiary of First Data International in Latvia carries out also training of bank and/or merchant staff on the work with POS terminals or imprinters for card processing at the premises of First Data International.

Employees of First Data International carry out the training also at the premises of a merchant or bank.
