Sale of top-up codes for prepaid mobile phone cards

The sale of top-up codes for prepaid mobile phone cards at POS terminals means the possibility to purchase top-up codes for the cards Zelta Zivtiņa, OKarte or Amigo. The codes are printed on the POS terminal receipt. The codes are delivered electronically to the card acceptance device and they are received on-line from the electronic data store of subsidiary First Data International in Latvia.

The service is offered by the distributing company Karsten Latvian and by subsidiary First Data International in Latvia.

Both cash and payment cards can be used as a means of payment for purchasing the electronic code. If the merchant already has a POS terminal of a bank, in order to commence selling electronic top-up codes, it is required to reinstall the software of the terminal. If the outlet is not equipped with card acceptance devices, a POS terminal has to be installed (see more here). After the card acceptance device is equipped with the possibility to sell top-up codes for prepaid mobile phone cards, subsidiary First Data International in Latvia, in cooperation with Karsten, will carry out complete staff training on the use of the functionality.
