POS terminals

There are many ways of how to acquire a POS terminal (a device that processes payment cards). You can either buy a POS terminal from POS terminal supplier or rent the banks or First Data International POS terminal.

If you would like to rent a First Data International POS terminal please contact us on working days any time between 9am and 6pm. Subsidiary First Data International in Latvia will prepare the POS terminal for work, install it and provide technical maintenance.

If you would like to rent a POS terminal from a bank you have to conclude an agreement with the bank on the use of the POS terminal. First Data International will install and maintain the POS terminal on condition the customers selected bank is the First Data International partner. Your request for a POS terminal that you have made with the bank will be transferred to subsidiary First Data International in Latvia as an application following which we will install the POS terminal on the given dates.

If you have decided that you need a POS terminal you have to do the following:

Select one of the Latvian commercial banks that will handle the payment cards, i.e. collect the money from the card users that have either purchased in your shop or used your services and transfer it to your account;
Sign an agreement with the bank on type of payment cards you would like to accept. On concluding the agreement on the handling of payment cards you may notify the bank of your desire to install a POS terminal in your company.
If you would like subsidiary First Data International in Latvia to process your transaction data and install and manage your POS terminal, you have to select one of First Data International customer banks.
