A couple of years ago, when I was a first year student, I went to the opening of an exhibition of a photographer, an acquaintance of mine, at the Nature Museum. Incidentally, I forgot my wallet in my jacket. The opening was really nice. However, when I returned to the dressing room, I discovered, of course, that my wallet was gone - not by itself- some pickpocket had put some effort. In some respect I was lucky because not much cash was in my wallet because I kept all my money in the bank account and I was using a bank card. Knowing that every lats is important for a first year student, you can imagine how glad I was that the rest of my money was on card. I called 118 immediately and asked to connect me with Bankserviss immediately and blocked my card. Then I contacted my bank and breathed in relief- the money was still on the card.
Therefore, I would like to say: it is impossible to escape all unpleasant situations but it is possible to reduce their frequency – by using a bank card, for example.
