All these considerations were taken into account during development of First Data Latvia Quality Policy to prevent such risks occur. Also, Quality Policy helps First Data Latvia to ensure continuous development of services delivered; maintaining premium quality and assurance that targets are reached. First Data Latvia (former BankServiss) was one of the first companies in Latvia passed ISO9001:2000 certification. The certificate was obtained in 2001.

Quality is very important to compete successfully in market. First Data Latvia uses quality as a primary tool to maintain the existing customers, attract new ones.

Quality is not just management issue. This is a long – term project that everybody needs to participate in. Every employee of First Data Latvia is fully aware of his/hers duties, responsibilities, tasks, priorities. Every business has a risk. To avoid surprises, risks need to be identified and corrective and/or preventive actions should be taken to minimize them. First Data Latvia uses internal audits, data analysis and assesses own results to spot such situations and properly address them in timely manner.
